Icebreakers

Icebreakers is aimed at folk who simply want to make like minded friends or may be new to the LGBT scene and want to explore it a little with us.

You meet people in a similar situation to yourself, in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment.

A Switchboard Outreach volunteer will always be there too.

  • Day: the first Sunday of every month
  • Time: from 1pm to around 3pm
  • Location: At a Central Glasgow Venue – Call us and chat about it.

The group is always very informal, non-judgemental and relaxed.

Folk attending will often bring up an issue of the day for them and the group look at that among other stuff as it comes along.

You can come and go as you please - and you don't have to stay for the whole session. Some folk stay for a short time on their first visit and stay longer when they come back the next time.

It’s your time in sharing with the others attending and we all make of that what we can.

Throughout the year Icebreakers often arranges to attend events.

If you would like to go to Gay Pride or a show during the Glasgay! Festival, but don't want to go by yourself, this can be a fun and supportive way to meet people to go with.

Icebreakers also hosts a very popular Christmas Meal.

Please phone Switchboard on 0141 847 0447 for more details about these events, or for general information on the monthly meetings.
