Homophobic Crime Reporting
0141 847 0647
Strathclyde Police operates a Remote Reporting Scheme in partnership with ourselves and other organisations to make it easier to report homophobic crimes and incidents - whether it's verbal abuse, harassment or a violent attack.
The Homophobic Crimeline operates within Switchboard and is answered by Switchboard Volunteers.
The lines are open between 7pm and 10pm each night.
If the lines are busy, you may get through to the answer machine – in this case, you can leave a name and contact phone number and we will call you back.
- Talking to someone on the Homophobic Crime Reporting Line may help you to deal with what has happened.
- You can use the Homophobic Crime Reporting Line simply to report the incident and if that is as far as you want to go with it, we will respect that.
- You will not be placed under any pressure to take the incident further.
- You do not have to give your real name, and all calls are treated in strict confidence.
- If you would like the police to get involved, we can pass on the information for you.
- We will only ever pass information about the incident on to the police with your consent, and will not reveal your personal details unless you agree this is what you want.
